Thanksgiving 2012

This year we took Turkey Day on the road.  We headed out with Auntie Grace to her brother and sister-in-law's house.  I had contemplated a quiet day at home playing games, watching movies, and saving a Turkey by eating pizza!  But the Lulu said "Mom, I hope there's lots of people where we're having Thanksgiving"  - DOH-the extravert of the family strikes again!  And thank goodness she did - because, we were able to do all of those things (minus the pizza) AND make new friends  AND feel the spirit of the season.  It was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable Thanksgivings in recent memory.

We took a scenic 2 hour drive along the winding river, and were really enjoying the changing leaves, the draw bridges, and our time together in the car.  It should have been a bit of a clue when Lulu asked "Mom, what is car sickness?"  No worries - we pulled over quickly and took the opportunity to breath some fresh air, collect a few fall leaves and take some family pictures:

A big thank you to all our friends and family that have kept us smiling and laughing and have given us something to be thankful for every day.
