Sunday Morning Walkin

We've been a bit cooped up this weekend, so to help shake things up we walked to breakfast yesterday.  For three years we've lived less than four blocks from a market, and I don't think we've ever walked to breakfast.  It's turned chilly this week, so we bundled up.  Lulu dressed herself and Little Brother was very particular about his outfit (not featured is the matching Thomas red shirt underneath the Thomas zip up jacket).  Though we looked a bit like Rudolph by the time we arrived, all had a great walk - lots of nature, skipping, and running through the grass.

Say Cheeeeeese:

Ah the sweet rewards of carbo-loading in the winter:

They each picked their own bagel, buttered it and enjoyed!  As a special treat they got to lick the butter wrapper and share a hot chocolate.  We spent the munching hour jamming out to the musak (Michael Jackson was a fave) and playing the 'cloud game' with our bagels.  Lulu's bagel looked like a  dolphin and a whale  and Little Brothers looked like a poofy-tailed squirrel.  Loads of fun and less than $5.  By walking to the store (and having to backpack home my groceries) I easily saved more than that.  I think we've found ourselves a new tradition.
