B'Day Test Run

We were lucky to enough to have some special guests for the 48 hr window where we were all generally healthy and agreeable!  We hosted a b'day practice run & and a grown-ups night out!  Woo Hoo!  Fun all around!!

And after the cupcakes, with the frosting, the four kinds of sprinkles, the presents, and the grandparent-auntie-uncle frenzy, all the grown-ups smiled pleasantly at the babysitter AND WALKED RIGHT OUT THE DOOR!!!

MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!  It was AWESOME!!!  We were all off to watch a family friend coach his football team as head coach!  It was inspirational to see him lead his team through the game and think about how many years our family have shared.  It was a great night out - and, for those of you worried about the kiddos - thanks to teenage texting we we assured that all was well.  Kids behaved famously, used their manners, wow-ed the sitter, went to bed without fuss, and have been obsessed with 'teenagers' ever since.
