Teacher Appreciation

Teacher Appreciation was a few weeks ago.  Lulu wrote a card for her teacher  - I was amazed.  Thank you Sra for all that you've helped our big little girl achieve.  It's been an amazing year.  At the start, Lulu was only vaguely interested in letters, could give a rip about numbers and CERTAINLY didn't want me reading to her in Spanish.  Now, at the end of the year, she pulls out her 'work books' to do math (addition, subtraction) any time we have a spare minute; and, though she still won't let me read to her in Spanish, it's because she'd rather do it herself; and just last week she got tired of reading the syllables books and asked her teacher for real books, in Spanish, to read to me!  WOW.  I'm just amazed.
