Mommy Epiphanies

So today we made MOMMY's lunch first! Imagine that. Mommy, taking the time to make herself a lunch - and LuLu and I made it together. She plucked the lettuce and washed it - then she helped me seed and chop the cucumber, and then she helped add the avocado. It was fun, LuLu even voluntarily ate bites of lettuce and cucumber, and I finally got to eat a lunch I could feel good about. Viola!

And then at lunch, we were having a few chocolate chips with our sandwich, crackers, and apple - and instead of enforcing the "eat your apple first" rule - I said you may eat your chocolate chips whenever you'd like, but I also expect that you will eat your apple. And she did. Absolutely no fuss. Ah-ha I think I'm on to something....
